About the role

Responsibilities

• 01Develop detailed structural designs for refinery infrastructure, including foundations, supports, platforms, and buildings
• 02Perform structural analysis using software tools to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with industry standards
• 03Experience in geotechnical and seismic analysis in design development
• 04Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
• 05Ability to lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team, to conduct design and analysis refinery, foundations and structures and to the satisfaction of the project and client specifications
• 06Responsible for ensuring that all design work under your control is performed reviewed, checked and approved in accordance with client and/or project specific engineering procedures
• 07Provide sketches, supervise drafting of drawings by CAD resource
• 08Preparing engineering model and reports
• 09Familiar with latest design developments, statutory regulations, code of practice and onshore industry standards
• 10Competence in the use of software such as ANSYS, SACS and STAAD-PRO
• 11Work with lead engineer to achieve a satisfactory conclusion of the project within the allotted budget and timescale
• 12Good theoretical basis and hands on experiences
• 13Design of foundations substructures
• 14Design of onshore structures for oil and gas facilities
• 15Conversant with aspects of onshore environmental loading, i.e. wind, seismic
• 16Familiar with the installation procedure, fabrication process and capable of detailed design of installation aids
• 17Familiar with the functional requirements of buildings, pipe-rack cross over structures, and capable of offering practical solutions

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the design of Refining and Petrochemical industrial facilities
• Experience in FEED and detailed design
• Academic Education to Bachelor or equivalent level minimum in civil and structural
• Engineering from accredited University; Postgraduate degree will be an advantage
• Strong technical knowledge in Civil and Structural Engineering
• Strong design and analytical skills with problem-solving ability
• Good verbal and written communication, report writing and presentation skills
• Familiar with Structural design - ANSYS, SACS and STAAD-PRO
• Familiar with International codes and standards, Company standards
